AGM 2021 Ballot and Personal Statements
ENTITLED VOTING MEMBER ACCOMPANYING NOTES TO THE 2021 AGM BALLOT
AND PERSONAL STATEMENTS FOR CHAIR OF GREEN
Following the notice sent to members in November 2020 advising that the Chairs of the House and Green Committees would become vacant at the date of the 2021 AGM, we confirm that there are multiple candidates nominated for the post of Chair of Green – the ballot of which would normally be confirmed at the AGM on Saturday 6th March 2021. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 regulations, this will be carried out by online voting this year, with votes to be cast by 5pm Friday 5th March 2021. The result will then be advised to members by email and posted on the club website.
It should also be noted that Mr Alan Jones has been proposed for Chair of House – as no other candidates have been nominated for this role, no ballot is required for this position. He will be deemed to have been elected provided there are no objections received by the deadline of 5pm Friday 5th March 2021. Alan’s personal statement is attached below for reference:
For any member who cannot access the online voting system, a paper version of the ballot form is available on request. This is required to be returned to the office – to be received no later than Friday 5th March 2021.
The following categories are allowed to vote in accordance with Club Rules: Full Playing, Provisional, Five Day, Merchant Navy, Overseas, Country and Honorary Life members.
If you have any questions relating to the electronic voting process, please do not hesitate to contact me before the cut-off time and date: 5:00 p.m. on Friday 5th March 2021. The online votes will be electronically counted, and paper votes manually counted, with all ballots subsequently verified by two Members of the club. The process will be overseen by a Trustee. The recorder will be myself.
