| All players must hold a WHS Handicap Index to participate and must have played in 3 qualifying Heswall Club Competitions within the previous 12 months prior to the date of entry |
Entry Fee | As stipulated by the Ladies’ Committee |
Handicaps | Course Handicap, as calculated by reference to your Handicap Index applicable on the day |
| A maximum number of shots a pair can claim is restricted to 30. Pairs whose calculated total is over 30 are eligible to play but can only claim up to this limit |
Handicap Allowance | 50% of combined Course Handicap of the partners |
| Half strokes or over to be rounded up to a whole shot |
Tees | Red Tees |
| Partners shall decide who plays off the first tee |
Honour on 1st Tee | Pair nearer the top of the draw |
Results | Each match must produce a winner (i.e. if match tied after
18 holes, play continues from 1st (19th) hole until a hole is won |
Playing Dates | All first round matches will be played on a designated Tuesday according the Ladies’ fixtures |
| Subsequent matches may be arranged on any date up to and including the closing date for the round with the exception of Five Day Members who cannot play matches on Saturdays or Sundays without prior approval from Council. Each pair is equally responsible for arranging the match |
| Failure to play by the due date will result in both pairs being disqualified |
| Extensions will NOT be granted |
| The final will be played on Finals Day as specified in the club fixtures. Players who are not available on this date should not enter the competition. |
Trophy | The Knockout Foursomes Salvers will be awarded to the Winning Finalists |
Prizes | All finalists will receive a prize from the Ladies Section. |
Notes | Players who wish to compete must, at the beginning of the year, place their name on the entry sheet. The Entry Fee will be deducted from members’ swipe cards once the draw has taken place |
| The winners will represent Heswall in the “Daily Mail Foursomes”. If one player is unable to play in the Daily Mail Competition a substitution can be made prior to the first round. The partnership continues for the rest of the competition. If both players are unable to play, the runners-up will take their place |
