Dear Members

·         18 holes open, over the re-routed course layout. Holes 1-9 +12 (Front 10), then 13-15, 11, 10, 16-18 (Back 8)

·         First tee time 7.30am; last tee time will depend on sunset times

·         All play from the 1st tee, except 7.30am – 8.50am (13 tee times) when play also allowed from 13th tee (for back 8 holes only, finishing on Hole 18)

PHASE 2: Thursday 8th April – Sunday 25th April inclusive
·         Competitions begin, as per revised fixture list

·         Academy and Non-Playing members may book as normal

·         18 holes open, over the traditional course layout (Holes 1-18)

·         First tee time 7am; last tee time will depend on sunset times

·         All play from the 1st tee only

·         Maximum of 4 advance bookings in a 7-day period Sunday to Saturday (3 advance bookings for 5-day members). Extra bookings on day of play allowed, subject to tee availability.

PHASE 3: Monday 26th April onwards
·         Visitors, members’ guests and new Society bookings allowed

·         No members’ guests or visitors permitted on main competition days (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays)

·         In addition, no visitors permitted before 9.30am any other day

·         Members first tee time 7am; last tee time will depend on sunset times

·         All play from the 1st tee only.

·         No restrictions on number of advance tee times booked per week.

  1. BRS ‘go live’ times
  • Advance booking on BRS remains compulsory for all golfers in order to play a round of golf – whatever time of day you play, and even if you are not playing a full round

  • Roll-ups are not be permitted under any circumstances.
  • No play to start before the first bookable tee time, or after the last bookable tee time
  • Remember that members’ guests are not allowed to play until Monday 26th April.
BRS will go live for members’ casual bookings at:

·         Midday on Tuesday 23rd March for play on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st March; then

·         Midday on Friday 26th March for play on Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd April; then

·         8am on Monday 29th March for play on Sunday 4th April; and at 8am on Tuesday 30th March for play on Monday 5th April; and then

·         8am daily for each subsequent day – in other words, the usual 6 days in advance.

·         NOTE: As usual, all bookings for Men’s Saturday competitions will go live at 5pm the previous Sunday.

 3. Navigating the 2-tee BRS booking option

During Phase 1 (until 7th April), you may book to play from either the 1st tee or alternatively from the 13th tee for a limited number of early morning start times. For ease of reference, you can find below the previously issued guidance to help you navigate the 2-tee booking options on BRS, whether using the club website or smartphone App.

(a) If booking via the BRS App on a smartphone…

  • Select Tee Sheet from the options at the bottom of the screen
  • Select the date you wish to play
  • Select Course from the options at the top of the screen
  • Select Heswall Golf Club to play for the 1st tee or Supplementary Tee Booking to play from the 13th tee
  • Then click Done
  • Book your tee time in the usual way once the booking sheet goes live

(b) If booking via BRS on the club’s website…

  • Log in to the members’ pages, and then select Book A Tee Time
  • Log in to BRS as normal
  • Select Tee Sheet from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
  • Click on the blue date box at the top of the page and select the date you wish to play
  • Click on the putting green/flag icon at the top of the page just to the right of the date box
  • When the Course Selector box appears, select either Heswall Golf Club to play from the 1st tee or Supplementary Tee Booking to play from the 13th tee
  • Book your tee time in the usual way once the booking sheet goes live

4. Finally, please remember the ground rules

  • Advance tee booking is compulsory
  • Only book for others in your group if you know for sure that everyone can play
  • If after booking you find you cannot play, cancel your booking immediately
  • If you can play during the week, try and leave weekend tee times free for those members who are only able to play then
  • All players will need to register in the Pro Shop (when open) before starting their round

  • Spare a thought for fellow members and be considerate – don’t block-book for several days at a time
  • Play is not permitted before the first bookable tee time, and should not be started after the last bookable tee time
  • Don’t be a ‘no show’, as these will be monitored – cancel your booking if you cannot play
