As you know, the St Andrew’s Dinner night will shortly be upon us and with so much going on at the club, especially in regards to improvements on the course and taking the catering and bar services back in house, it is easy to forget or miss those regular events that have become part of the great traditions of Heswall Golf Club, such as the St Andrew’s Dinner Night.

Great Night

This year’s St Andrew’s Dinner Night takes place on Friday 2^nd December 2016.  It is a very popular event for all Members of the Men’s Section, playing and non-playing.  Guests and Members are welcomed to the club by a Scottish piper and the evening continues with a Scottish malt whisky toast by your host, the Men’s Captain, followed by a scrumptious traditional Scottish four course fayre of Cock-a-Leekie Soup, Freshly Caught Haggis (!), Neeps and tatties, Cranachen Scottish dessert, cheese and biscuits and coffee & mints.

With still over one month to go before this most prestigious event takes place, it is encouraging to see that places are filling up quickly with 81 of the 100 available seats already taken.

The purpose of this E Mail to you today is to ensure that you received the previously published notice advertising the dinner and to make sure that you are not missing out on this very important calendar date for the club.  To that end, I have reproduced the poster below for ease of reference.

For any newly joined new Members of the club reading this communication, it is hoped that you are enjoying and making full use of your membership of Heswall Golf Club since you joined and hopefully this E Mail perks your interest enough for you to consider attending our next St Andrew’s Dinner, which is a fantastic social event for the Men’s section and an opportunity for you to acquaint yourself with other Members of the club in a relaxed and social atmosphere. 

For all Members of the Men’s section. If you have not already included your name on the attendance list and you wish to attend but are unable to get to the clubhouse to put your name down, do not worry.  You can respond to this E Mail and I will ensure your name is added to the list. Otherwise, next time you are in the clubhouse, why not make sure your name is down personally. Cost for the dinner is just £30 per head and dress is black tie.
