Heswall has a thriving junior section that welcomes boys and girls of all abilities ages 10 and above. Our aim is to help every young golfer enjoy the game, develop their skills and feel part of a friendly, supportive community. With expert coaching, excellent practice facilities and plenty of opportunities to play, it’s a fantastic place for juniors to learn, grow and have fun.
Junior coaching at Heswall is led by PGA Fellow Professional Jason Dransfield, a specialist in junior development with experience competing on the European Challenge Tour and PGA EuroPro Tour. Jason also delivers PGA training nationally and mentors aspiring professionals, bringing a wealth of knowledge to our junior programme.
Our structured coaching pathway introduces young players to every part of the game — from long game and short game to rules, etiquette and on‑course confidence. Sessions are grouped by age and ability to ensure every child progresses at their own pace.
Juniors have access to the club’s excellent practice facilities, including:
These facilities support every stage of development, from first swings to competitive golf.
The safety and wellbeing of our juniors is our highest priority. Heswall follows England Golf’s safeguarding policies and ensures all coaching and junior activities are delivered in a safe, supportive environment.
