Eligibility | All players must hold a WHS Handicap Index to participate and win a prize, and must have played in 3 qualifying Heswall Club Competitions within the previous 12 months prior to the date of entry to be eligible to win the Trophy |
| Approximately 36 players with the best aggregate nett scores from any two of the following four competitions: |
| Spring Meeting - Queen Elizabeth II Salver |
| Summer Meeting - King George V Cup |
| Reserves will be allocated using the above qualification criteria, including all ties allocated equally so there are a minimum of 30 competitors plus ties |

Handicaps | Course Handicap, as calculated by reference to your Handicap Index applicable on the day |
Handicap Allowance | 95% of Course Handicap |
Tees | White Tees |
Scores | All cards must be returned (including NRs) |
| Each player must ensure that his score is entered into the
computer immediately on completion of his round |
Trophy Winner | The Captain’s Medal Salver will be awarded to the player with the lowest nett score |
| The Trophy winner will also receive a Tankard |
Prizes | Voucher prizes will be awarded to the three best nett scores |
| No separate Junior prizes |
Ties | Card play-off |
Notes | Order of play as decided by the Handicap Committee |
| Adjustment is made to reflect the relative difference in daily playing conditions i.e. PCC adjustment and the relative difference in the Course Rating between the White Tees and Blue Tees |
