MEMBERS’ SURVEY

Sharing the survey’s findings

 Many thanks to those of you that attended the Members’ Open Forum earlier this week when Ben Johnson from England Golf shared with you a summary of the findings of the recent survey. It was good to see so many of you at the meeting, which enabled a lively and informative exchange to take place.

As promised, and particularly for all those members who were unable to attend in person, I have pleasure in attaching a copy of the slide pack prepared and presented by Ben, together with a summary of the main items raised and discussed during the Q&A session.

As you know, the survey was compiled and run in partnership with England Golf and we will continue to work with Ben over the next 12 months as we move forward to improve the overall member experience at Heswall Golf Club. Our strategic business plan will include a number of actions and proposals designed to address your concerns and take on board your suggestions, but some of the points highlighted by the survey need to, and can, be actioned more immediately. These include but are not limited to some bar and catering issues, the availability of tee times for members, and improved communication.

Members who completed the survey also left nearly 2,000 additional comments in the free text boxes and, whilst it would be impossible to report every single contribution here, please be assured that ALL of your comments have been read and will be taken into consideration as we move forward with our planning.

Looking ahead, we intend running the survey again in 2023. This will enable us to gage improvement against this year’s findings, and help us measure our achievement against plans.
