Our highlights this month include:

Heswall A and C teams were in the  Cheshire shield Finals. Heswall played Royal Liverpool at Portal.  It was a great experience

Sadly we were beaten however we were there together with caddies and supporters- a fantastic achievement

Sara came third in the Welsh open and narrowly missed the playoffs. Well done!

Cheshire represented the northern counties at Stoneham golf course. Lucy and Sara represented Cheshire. Essex were the winners this time.

We had our first Women on Par event, where our new ladies play golf and are scored on various challenges such as replacing a divot and taking no more than two putts. It’s a great way to encourage new

The prize finals on Sunday September 11th

were played with great spirit and the occasion is always well attended. Well done to all our finalists.

Lady Captain’s prize final was held on September 27th over 27 holes and the winner was Kelly Marsh. The second was Elaine Devine and the winner of the 18 hole stableford was Charlotte Bilton

There’s a magician coming to entertain us on October 18th. The list is in the ladies’ locker room if you want to come along. As it’s near Halloween let’s wear black and if you want to add a touch of horror to your outfit then that’s just perfect. £20 will be deducted from your bar card, if you want to join the fun!

As the nights draw in and we move to the winter course we’ve got some team competitions to look forward to. It’s time to get the waterproofs, thermals and hand warmers ready!
